FAMILY
Emphasizing the importance of family as it is the heart and soul of the community. This includes respect for our elders, aiding one another in need (Wanting for your Brother or Sister as you want for yourself.), sacrificing for the advancement of our youth and community overall.
Work to restore the family unit to strengthen the Black family, through job creation, programs and hosting family oriented events.
-
ACCOUNTABILITY
As our community grows and we evolve, disagreements and conflicts will arise as they are natural and necessary for growth. However, when those disagreements/conflicts lead to negative speech and/or actions, a Conflict Resolution Committee will be assembled to mediate matters of mid to high impact. Atonement is a power tool that should be used by everyone as it renews and restores through reconciliation. The 8 steps of atonement can be used for all levels of conflict and disagreements and are as follows:
1. Someone must point out the wrong.
2. Acknowledgement of the wrong.
3. Confess the fault; to God first, then to the offended.
4. Repentance: feeling remorse or shame for the conduct.
5. Atonement; making amends, or settle the matter.
6. Forgiveness; cease to feel offense & resentment against one another.
7. Reconciliation and restoration.
8. Perfect union with God, self, and one another.
